- Access control application
The first application of RFID technology enters into our lives is to start with the control of access. For example, a subway card, an identification card for entering or leaving the office, or a student ID card for a primary school student to sign in. This type of application flow is roughly like this: first compare whether the ID is the authorized scope, if it is, then initiate the follow-up authorization command (open the access control) or action response (record the name, time, deduction, etc. of entering or leaving the subway) ) and write the identification time to the database.
- Personalized settings
When the access control application is used as a key in the living environment, the personalization setting of the household equipment, home security care, and the like are gradually becoming the application fields of RFID.
Take the situation of personalized setting as an example: the setting of the bedroom used by the individual may have air conditioner, multi-function display, etc. When the identity of the entrant is recognized via the RFID tag, the system can respond to the temperature setting preferred by the entrant. Set, lighting mode, day-to-day stock portfolio quotes, day trip calendars.
- Institutional wisdom medicine cabinet (medical reminder)
This is a demonstration of health care demonstrations in cooperation with welfare agencies. Medication reminders are part of the introduction of health care demonstration applications. The welfare agency has about 9 beds to care for the elderly who are physically and mentally healthy. Most of the elderly who have no problem in their actions and can live on their own, but have the need to take long-term prescription drugs daily. Institutional care is often used to track the medications of the elderly, and now the agency introduces open medicine cabinets. Because the elderly are not used to communication equipment, there are only LED lights and reminders on the medicine cabinet. The medicine cabinet is equipped with one for each bed. The RFID antenna in the medicine cabinet is a plurality of medicine bag RFID tags placed vertically at the rear end of the medicine cabinet and placed in the induction cabinet. The RFID reader sends the tag to the central control computer through the network.
In buildings, there are more contexts where RFID technology can be applied. I hope that in the future, we can develop more applications and commercial products inside and outside the building, and soon reach the realm of intelligent living space in China.
