The concept of Suning’s “Biu” store is driven by big data. The combintion of the company’s experience and technology in the “O2O” retail sector by Radio Frequency Identification (RFID) and facial recognition. Suning is China’s largest omni-channel retailer, with smart retail leading technology and strong business capabilities.
“The Suning Biu Store concept shows the latest development of our online-to-offline (O2O) retail strategy to provide consumers a one-stop seamless shopping experience. We are very happy to bring it to CES in 2018.” said, Mr. Su Shaohua, Executive Vice President of Suning Appliance Research and Development and General Manager of Suning Global Research.
Accoding to Biu stores offer facial recognition, any shopper can instantly enter the store through camera identification at the entrance with connecting their bank card to the Suning financial app. Clients can make purchasing decisions more easier by the smart recommendations from Suning’s big data analytics-based shopping guide in the app. Using RFID technology makes products need to be paid only through payment channels, and leaving check-outs within 15 seconds. It faster and easier than most existing self-service retail businesses.
Suning pay attention to the technology products and electronic services to improve the experience of clients in the international CES.
